After a dozen years, it was time to replace my down comforter. This time I decided to use blankets, but wanted to use natural fibers and not sleep encased in petroleum products. So, I bought a nice wool/alpaca blend blanket. As the weather now turns cold, it seemed the new wool blanket could use just a little help to match the warmth of the old comforter. This cotton blanket, used as a bedspread over the wool blanket worked out perfectly. The oat color and the weave pattern are good looking. By itself, the cotton’s weight is probably almost a 3 season blanket. According to the instructions, I first washed the blanket in cold water and dried it on a cooler than normal setting. No problems, the blanket still looks nice and there wasn’t too much lint in the dryer. It appears to be a quality product at a value price point. The fact that it’s organic is a bonus.
